Hope Animal Rescue is a completely volunteer-run non-profit organization committed to saving the lives of stray and abandoned dogs in North Carolina. We give HOPE to the ones that need it most and we have a heart for the sick, elderly, and those discriminated against due to breed.
This is a BIG year end fundraiser for HAR, and a fun way to get the community involved in raising money for a very impawtant cause! All proceeds from the photo contest go directly to providing care and covering medical expenses for the dogs of Hope Animal Rescue. Last year we raised over $8,000 and our goal this year is to cross the $10,000 mark – can you help make that happen?! Consider entering your pet in the contest (and encouraging people to vote), as the winners of the contest will make it in to our 2022 HAR Calendar!
How it works:
- Enter a high-resolution photo of your pet, along with an entry fee of $5. (1440px x 1800px or 2mb. If you win a spot in the calendar but your photo is not high-resolution, we will ask for a replacement photo, or else choose the next place entry).
- Vote! Each vote costs $1 and there is no limit to how many votes you can purchase. Each vote is a donation to HAR (10 votes = $10 donation) and goes directly to providing care and covering medical expenses for our animals. There’s also special “discount bundles” like 25 votes for $20 that may pop up every so often!
- SHARE SHARE SHARE this contest! Tell everyone to vote, share the contest URL, and ask your family/friends to vote for your pet!
Voting starts on the morning of Monday November 1st and will end on November 7th at 9:59 PM EST.
The top 11 photos will be featured in our 2022 calendar, and the photo with the most votes will appear on the cover of the calendar! The 12th/final spot will be filled a slightly different way – we’ll be announcing the details for the last spot right after this photo contest ends!
Calendars will be available for pre-order shortly after the contest ends and will tentatively be available for local pick-up or to be shipped in early December. They make great gifts, so consider ordering a few once they’re available!
